I have read these posts and can tell the people that have had contact with Prieksat. My first encounter with him was when I was a boy in grade school and fishing with my dad at Ft. George down by DeGray. I was chopping on a dead fall tree with a hatchet when he came to me and absolutly unloaded on me. That is not how you handle a situation with a 7 year old boy.

I still have family in the Pierre area and do all of my hunting and fishing back there and with in the past 10 years have had contact with Prieksat about twice a year. Every time the party that I am with are completely opporating within the law. Prieksat will detain us for a unreasonable amout of time and dig and dig to try to find a violation. Which he never has.

The stories I have heard and read on this site are true. And trust me these are just a select few. There are SO many more that people dont know about.

I am a Deputy Sheriff now with a department in the eastern part of the state and trust me if I were to treat the people that I have contact with in the manner that he does I would loose my job in a heart beat. Law enforcement is a very hard job and most of the time you have dealing with people that are in the worse time of their life, but that doesnt give any officer the right to treat people without respect.

There are times that an officer is justified in reacting to a situation in a manner that could be considered "rude" but these are situations when all else has failed and the subject you are dealing with has exaughsted all other options. There should NEVER be a time that any officer is unprofessional.

Prieksat has overstepped his authority on to many occations to count and he sould either be reassigned or released from service. Thats the opinion of one person who happens to be a Deputy.

Well put. Its pretty obvious the people sticking up for him have not seen him in action.

for all of you who think that this is the first time that the state of SD has had problems with Bob need to do some research and see that in 2003 gov rounds and head of gfp Cooper met with Bob's boss to voice their complaints against him so this has been a problem for a long time and through all of this Bob's boss has the guts to be quoted saying that he has never heard any negative comments about Bob maybe he needs to go to because he damn sure must be the same kind of person that Bob is. And so everyone knows I have had run in's with Bob because of who I associate with and he tried damn hard to find something but like most of the time when he harasses someone he comes up empty.

Well I have had lots of experience with this man in many aspects and he is doing his job and he does a heck of a good one at that. If anyone should know that it is Cooper that is where Bob learned most of his ways and if I recall lots of people didn't like him at first either. Cooper had the same additude as Bob does out in the field and that is I am here to protect the wildlife and to make sure everyone is safe. If anything I would say people need to think about how much do they like a police officer after they have given them a ticket they don't but it is their job. In this case Caleb was in the wrong and started talking to people and it so happened that the people he talked to had gotten tickets also, some of them happen to be Gov. Rounds right hand men...and they know who they are. Caleb is the a crooked business man if you ask me......maybe someone shoudl ask him where deer seem to disappear to when they are down there at his shop to be mounted. According to him it was a mystery.......and Bob also investigated that case as well. BOB keep up the good work, and people think hard about the guy "Caleb" that you are all backing, he isn't who you think.

If Bob is out protecting wildlife why in his eyes is it ok to throw geese in the garbage but it is not ok to give them to someone who is going through a hard time and would love a goose to put on his table. think I'm lying since localgal knows him so well and think he does such a great job go ask him that question.

Hey,what about the other 98% of the people he comes into contact with that are NOT breaking the law? Is it ok forr him to treat them like criminals as well?
