Default SD Teen Dies In Rollover

http://www.keloland.com/NewsDetail6162.cfm?Id=92371

11/07/2009 5:18 AM

A South Dakota teenager has died in a rollover in southwest Minnesota.

The Rock County Sheriff's Department says 17-year-old Tina Sandbulte, of Garretson, lost control of her vehicle and was ejected at an intersection south of Beaver Creek.

The accident happened just after eleven o'clock last night.

The cause is under investigation.

I'm so sorry for this family. 17 years old is too young to die. Please buckle up people.

I have to say, I think it is in poor taste to release this name five and a half hours after the accident. There is no way extended family could be notified already.

So sorry! 17 is indeed too young. I can't even remember what it felt like to be 17.

Default Far Too Young

My son, all of my nieces and nephews knew her, they are having a candle light service tonight for her.

And yes it was in poor taste to put her name on here so quickly.

Youre always so negative towards kelo, why do you come here? The name is released to the news organizations by law enforcement, dont blame kelo, be angry with the agency that released her name. Or just stay away from the news if you cant handle it.

Well said, sarge. This isn't the place to came if you know someone who has had something bad happen. How many times do we need to say that????

This was a horrible thing to have happen to someone so young. My heart goes out to the family and friends of this young lady.

It isn't just KELO. My niece & her friends were in a car accident south of Mitchell a year ago. The Daily Republic & KMIT were announcing the names before the family could get everyone notified.

The one where the car flipped upside down in the culvert????

Unfortunately accidents are news. But I think there should be a 24-48 hour window before releasing names.......

It's up to law enforcement. Don't blame the news stations. People scream if they don't tell us enough and then they scream when they tell us too much.
